I know my friend with an old 40's coupe wanted his car to have that flat black primer look, and he actually found a copmany that makes paint for hot rods that looks exactly like black primer, but without the issues of running just straight primer. I'll see if I can find the info.....

not to shoot down your hopes or anything...i think flat black is a fad...its soon to go out. if you get it done you'll be tired of it really quick, i know someone who did this to their new body style chevy...looked good at first but you get tired of lookin at it just my opinion

hot rod flatz is pretty cheap tho & comes in a variety of different colors. it even comes in flat pearls. u could just keep changin it over few months haha. jus like most trends tho, its not the 1st time its been around, its jus resurfacing. [for example, skinny leg jeans back in now & funky 80s colors]

ya its a fad but it what he wants let him do it just look out a friend of mine did his 32 low boy and that was 3 years ago and the paint faded and got all this stuff in it like big greasy looking spots but 3years ago did the paint have the same quality? and every time a bird s#@$ on it he looses a little more not shine but luster i guess and it looks like primer now
