Going with a COMPLETE flat black! need .02

Ive decided to go with an entire flat black paint scheme on both the truck and the car. without digging thru the forums, does anyone know of anyone that has flat blacked an entire 04+ 150? i want to do the body, wheels, suspension (rhino lined), and somehow black out my head and tail lights without having that glossy look like the aftermarket covers that are available. any info you guys can help me out with?

some one told me the other day they saw a flat black new f150 and it looked good. havent seen it myself. my friend did night shade on his tail lights and it came out really flat not glossy at all. but he probly screwed it up so just screw it up...

did you decide on keeping your truck? i keep seeing post about possibly selling it. personally if your going flat black you need 22's or so IMO.

corvette i would just leave black and put black rims on it and black out the windows. and a z06 front end would look amazing on it.

I haven't seen one, but I always thought it would look nice. It would give your truck a real mean look.

any links to pics? and is it fairly inexpensive? i have done a little research today and some people said that its good to use no-gloss clear on it.. dunno, but it kinda sounds like it makes sense. i want it to look like it was MEANT to be painted flat black and not just look like black primer.

is this something that has to be done professionally or can you 'do it yourself'?

i think it'll be nice on the truck. give it a more "bulletproof" look. on the car might be kinda iffy.... i wouldnt do it.

Cool Black out look for F-150

As far as the headlights go Hella makes blackout headlight housings specifically for the F-150, I just recently put them on my 05 F-150 which is true blue and they add an awesome stealth look you can get them at tirerack.com or stylinconcepts.com and im sure other sights offer them as well. With sylvania silverstar headlights and turn signals I love the look. Inslallation was as easy as 1,2,3 too.

The best idea I've seen for the headlights is to just paint your own. There are a number of posts on doing it yourself. I think I'm going to do it to my pickup. I'd rather pay the 15 bucks for the paint and silicone than 200+ for the Hella. And if I mess it up then I just have a reason to tell my wife I need the black headlights from Hella.
Here, I found the link to the post I'm banking off.
