Where's a good place to get OEM mirrors cheep?

I recently ran my mirror into the garage door and bent it forward until it broke. I am having a hard time finding mirror replacements other than Ford. Suggestions?

to remove those mirrors the door panels need to come off.the front speaker grille and speaker needs to come out,the window switch panel needs to come off there is a screw there, the interior door handle has 2 screws that need to come out and pop it off of the door panel the cable will still be attached other than that there will be a couple screws on the bottom of the door panel and lift the door panel off.then you will see the 3 nuts for the mirror and plug.hope this helps.

well i believe you can pop the skulls off after you pop the glass off. Might do a quick search and see what you can come up with

He would have to have the seperate skulls, and if he did they would be painted already.

there are a few different mirrors on these trucks, and the basic power mirrors have a full one peice back, not two peice like the PTM skull cap kind.

removal of the mirror is pretty straight forward.

You must remove the panel as it was said. I start by rolling the window all the way down.
removing the small cover behind the door handle, then pop off your door window/lock switch covers and get the bolt in the corner. unplug everything off theh cover.
Carefully remove the speaker grille, it just pops off, and then pull the screws out from the speaker.
While your in there remove the two LOWER plastic screw holders on the speaker mount, they will not be easy to remove but it will make it a whole lot easier to install the panel later.
then you have two small screws at the bottom of the door panel.

After you make sure everything is unscrewed give teh door panel a slight tug upwards and it should come off, pop off teh door handle and loop it out the back so the panel can be competely off.

the mirrors will have three or four nuts out the back, (some odd years like 04-05 have and extra nut, thats y i say three or four)
Unplug the mirror, and unbolt two of the lower nuts, then back out the top nut and make sure you hold the mirror as you pull it off. It has a snap action so if it stays in give it a slight pull.

putting everything back in is pretty easy, just be carefull to run your lock pin into the panel before you set it on the door.

Now if you just want to paint the upper portion like the newer FX2s and lariats etc, just pop your mirror glass out, there are four screws that hold the full back onto the housing, they are torx screws, pull your mirror so it sits at an angle halfway between open and folded in, take the four screws out and the back cover will come off. You dont need to remove the door panel and the mirror this way.

Thanks man. Sounds pretty easy either way. I am waiting on the paint to come in. Then I am going to go to work on them.
