Looks Sweet! I'm getting a flat black FX4 decal made up. Still looking for the the black nerf bars.

Not sure how you get away with the tinted side windows, but looks great!

here's a dumb question:

how do you wax between the letters on the decals? do the decals hold wax or polish if you got some on them?

looks great btw. i'm thinking of ordering some.

do you feel that they would stain or discolor in any way compared to the stock "shiney" decals?

blackout, when you ordered yours, how did you measure the OEM decal first? he sells multiple sizes.

I haven't found a primer that will adhear to the chrome. I figured the rocks would eat throught it and they would look like crap. Yours look great, what did you use to prep them? What paint did you use for the flat black?

My other option was to use rubberizer rocker guard, that will stick, but it's hard to get even spray and creates a textured look. Yours look nice and smooth and that the finish I wanted.

my nerf bars are polished aluminum not chrome. if yours are chrome i doubt you will be able to paint them.. i used a red scotch pad to scuff up the finish.. and applied duplicolor adhesion promoter. and then duplicolor trim paint.. but the trim paint was too dull, it was really flat black.. so i put a few coats of krylon fusion satin black on top of it. i have had them painted for almost 2 months and no chips at all. plus i painted the plastic step part on the nerf bars with krylon fusion because the black was fading and turning greyish

hey DJ.. do you happen to remember what your overall length was for the decals? i measured mine and they were 16 inches wide, so i went with their 16 inch decal. i'm curious because i also have a 5.5 bed, and you said you had to get smaller ones made.. i hope mine don't turn out to be too big or something.

patriotdecals.com had me measure from the bottom of the O in offroad to the bottom of the D. its is 14 7/8
also from the bottom of the F in fx4 to the bottom of the 4 is 14 1/16
with this measurement they came out identical to my OEM for the 5.5 bed

.....crap, lol. i guess ill wait and see. if they look like they'll be alright, i'll just make due with the slightly larger decals. hopefully the extra 2 inches or so won't be that bad.
