truck flag pole...
A flag pole... you mean a thing that has pulleys to cast a flag (ie: american flag) a couple feet in the air?!
Do you mean like one of these?!

My next question... is why... for the love of your truck... why do you want a flag pole?
My next suggestion is that it be no higher than 6' high... or you will lose it on the first bridge.

i know what your talkin about. the only way ive seen it done is if you mount a clip on the back on the bedliner nearest the cab and stick the pole through it. no pics of this on my truck though. srry. maybe someone else can post an image besides a flag in a front yard.
I saw a guy on 9-12-01 with a piece of metal tubing stuck down through each of the little holes in the bedrails (the one on each side of the bed in the back) and he had a USA flag on each... Looked pretty cool for a moments notice rig... If you can give me some time, I can find out what one of the local Fire Departments uses for theirs (attached to a Pumper)

Get a length of pipe about 3 feet long, making sure that the pipe is of a large enough diameter to stake your flag, then cap one end. Now find a place that you want to fly your flag from. The "A" pillar, front fenders, and anywhere along the truck bed body are choice spots. Now weld it. In order to have a clean, flushed installation; smear on as much Bondo as you can, then even it all out with a butter knife. Be sure to purchase enough spray paint from your local auto supply store in the same color code as your truck. Now paint to match your body.
Enjoy.

If they do, which I'm sure that they will, then they will be able to fly a flag on their truck.
