My 1998 XLT didn't have door cracks before I traded it in last year. I rarely
used the power windows so that why I had no cracks in the windows.

Yeah I jus noticed the little ones forming on mine.. I called the 1800 number for fords customer care.. The lady I spoke with knew nothing about this issue.. She did want to let me know about the cruise control recall though. I guess my question is what exactly do I do to get this fixed.. Since it has affected so many of us are they going to fix it for free.. Or will we have to pay for it? Thanks guys!

My '99 XLT 4X4

1/4" long cracks on both doors.

I also inspected two of my coworkers' trucks -- a '97 and a '98. Both had 1/4" long cracks on both doors.

Say, anyone ever think of JB Welding (or regular welding) the door cracks shut then grinding the welds and repainting the area? Just an idea...

My '98 I just traded in had 1/4in cracks on both doors, my '08 don't have any on either of the 4 doors and it better not get any! Oh, and the '98's rear window leaked like a waterfall when I got it too.

1998 Nascar F150....crack on the C pillar side of the driver side door, right at the bottom of the window. Truely pisses me off since the only way to remedy it would be to reskin the door. Anyone know the cause of this bull***** situation?

Mike

98 F150 crack on drivers side door. Rear slider has bad leak, from the day I bought it. Just ripped carpet out and found standing water in the floor boards.

Always something.
