Does anyone have rust at bottom of 3rd door.??

hello everyone.
I have rust on the bottom of the 3rd door. now the front 2 doors don't have any rust, so why would this one? so I just wanted to know if it's another issue that has been going on or is it just my truck..!!
Thanks in advanced..

I just bought my 99 f150 xlt and noticed the crack today. Is there a recall on it can I get it fixed. The truck only has 76k miles and has silver paint.

Nope, your S.O.L. on this one. No recall and I believe the TSB that existed a few years back is no longer in effect. The crack, and I had 2 trucks with them, is just annoying.

My 98 that was fixed under the TSB was repaired 3 times to "fix" the problem, including a "redesigned replacement door" and as luck would have it, the crack returned. So if I were you, I'd just ignore it and move on.

Mine is a '97 with 107K - small crack on driver's door, no problem on the other side - until I put my Mother-in-Law in the passanger's seat, and when I do that, I reflect back on the driver's door, and think that things could be worse -

97 w 125k. Drivers side crack. I don't want to start a bitc& session here because I have gotten a ton of useful quality help from the good folks who love their F150s and post here to help myself and the others. Please don't take this as a Ford bashing deal. All that being said, the fact that Ford has SO many know issues and cranks out them year after year and never sac up and A) fix the design or B) stand behind them beyond what they absolutely have to legally makes me really dislike the quality control present in most American made vehicles. My next vehicle will be a Japanese brand and please belive me that as a guy that passion , hobbies and groceries area direct function of things designed and built here in this country, that upsets me greatly. I am first to admit am not an automotive expert, but in my profession as mechanical engineer I have spent some time in the vehicle design arena and I even worked for Ford back in the day when I was right out of school. Bottom line is cost is king and the quality control is terrible. The US car companies made so much money on the SUV and truck market in the past it is borderline criminal. My 2 cents.
