From what I am hearing, it sounds like like about half will develop cracks when they hit out of warranty time.

My question now:
If you knew BEFORE you bought your F-150 that your truck was going to develop door cracks, would you of bought it? Is it that big of problem. I really want one, but I keep hearing these problems. On a 5-10 year old vehicle that's fine, but on a 0-2 year old truck, I don't expect cracks.

No door cracks yet , but I rarely put the windows down for fear of developing the cracks (not a big deal here in Florida..the air conditioning is pretty much on all the time).

I am going to take a good guess here and say that most of thepeople without the cracks probably have manual windows. This problem is caused by the power windows. They crank the window closed so thight that the door bows in and out. This is causing a pivot point and that spot where the crack is forming happens to be the thinest etal on the door. Watch your windows and door when the window rolls into the molding and watch when you roll it down. If you have manual windows you will not crank nearly as hard as this motor does. I could be wrong, but most people will not crank there window closed with so much force.

Also if everyone could also respond to my topic called "rust or cracks??" I am trying to compile a survey so this can be brought to proper attention. I need everyones assistance by responding so we can give FORD some hell. Thank You
