Arrow Cabin Air Filter Kit

Howdy All,

Does anyone know the part number for the cabin air filter kit and the cost. How easy/hard is it to install. ThanX

Kit Part # is 18D477(Air Filtration System). Includes the filter. Easy to install--just a stretch as you cut out the embossed cover on the bottom of the plastic heater plenum and install the access cover hardware.. I had one on my '97 and the '99 now. Definately works to keep the interior cleaner----assuming you don't drive around with your windows down all the time!
Can't remember the cost. Just call your dealer's Parts Dept.

Thumbs up

The cost was $62.00 for my kit.

Complete kit number:
F65Z-18D477-AA or SKF75J-18D477-AA
(listed on instructions)

Like Dennis said...it was relatively easy to install. I have also noticed that it keeps the interior much cleaner.

Is this something that is in the truck already and has to be changed or is something that you are installing and what is the reason? Just curious, thanks

Gino---
The cabin filter is not standard in any F-150 from the factory....it is a Dealer Installed Option (DIO). Once installed, the filter needs to be changed every 15,000 miles or 1 year (more often if in dusty conditions).

The reason I installed mine is that I rarely drive with my windows down and wanted to keep the cabin cleaner. Well, it is MUCH cleaner now. The cabin filter is not very useful if the windows are down most of the time.

Dustoff,
Thanks for the info, i'll keep it in mind, but I don't think i'll pend the money on one because when it's nice I love to drive with all the windows wide open.

Glad to help..and I agree...if you are the type of person who loves to have the window down most of the time..this feature will be of little use.

Cabin Filtration Kits, Where are they?

I have a 1999 F150 4X4 Lariat Extended Cab and I am looking for a cabin filtration kit. None of the dealers around here have one nor do they know where to get one. I have tried eBay to no avail and other links. Is there a particular supplier that may carry them?

when you add a cabin air filter kit , do you have access to the evaporator coli fins so they can be cleaned (unclogged) before you install cabin filter element??
