Question how to hook up bazooka???

OK. I'm getting a 8" Bazooka bass tube. And would like to know if I can hook it up to the back of my Kenwood cd player where the pre-amp outputs are. I think one is red and the other is white. I have two sets of pre-amp outputs. One for the front, and one for the rear. Also, I was wondering that if this is where I hook the bazooka up, will the rear speakers shut off? Because if you connect the bazooka up to the rear stage, it looks like the rear speakers would shut off. I don't know. I'm just guessing because I don't know what I'm talking about! My question in general is: "Will all four 5x7 speakers play if I connect the bazooka to the rear stage pre-amp outputs?)

Your other speakers shouldn't shut off, but since you are hooking the bazooka up to the rear speaker preamp outputs, your bazooka will be affected when fading your sound to the front or back, I would make sure that you have your stereo faded evenly, NOT faded to the front, because then you won't have as much sound coming out of your sub.

Thanks for the info superedge7. I usually fade my speakers to the front because that's where my Infinity's are.( factory speakers in the rear.) What if I hooked the bazooka up to the front speaker pre-amp outputs? Then could I fade the speakers to the front without affecting the bazooka? Please respond ASAP.

Yes you can definitely do that
Make sure that you have a low pass filter on your bazooka, I think you do, definitely have that turned on. You should be in good shape!

Thanks superedge7. I hoped that it would work like that. The amp that's on the amplified bazooka has a 50-250hz low pass filter on it. So I'm in good shape. I'm not to good at car audio, and I'm sorry if I aggrevatted anyone. I can be a nag sometimes. But hey, that's what this forum is for. Right?
