Got a hell of a deal on 8 Soundstream SME.658s plan is to run 4 per channel on my Rockford Fosgate P400.2 that should put me at 2ohms per channel and according to my birth sheet each speaker will see a little bit over 60 watts rms. Still gotta get components for the doors.

Looks going to be sick!

I would use less screws tho, let the glue do all the work. What finish you think the box will get?

I want this thing to be solid enough to be ran over with a bulldozer that way if later on I decide to go to some crazy subwoofers in it it will be able to hold. The plan is for black/grey leather with red piping. I'm using the cupholder area from a suburban to be molded in the front area.

Oughta match nicely, and about the screws and strength this is true for plywood, but compressed and manufactured wood like mdf splits easily if not careful. I've built my fair share of boxes to know. On my last one I did the same thing as you with the screws, it split then I had to bathe it in wood glue to work. Yes I drilled the holes out first. If you wish to strengthen the box think about some bracing and fiberglass mat and resin along the corners+joints bud.

Overall keep the pics coming!

Never thought about that, my leather seats are black/grey with red stitching so it should tie in nicely. We are doing both bracing and fiberglass on it. As far as the 8 soundstream sme658s they are going in a pod down the center of the headliner facing left and right in an alternating fashion then the whole headliner will be covered in suede. Just a little something different!

Not sure if I've posted my leather seats but there's a little write up The guy I bought them from did. I recommend them they are worth the wait and the price can't be beat.

If your doing both you'll be golden. I myself got work to do. 2 alpine type really 12s under seat. May use some wood laminate to match the lariat wood accents. Your making this a show truck?

Them Alpine Type Rs can handle some power! It's not really a show truck, I take it to shows and it has took home some trophies. I'm just 22 years old man this is my daily driver and I go to Xavier University Full time and work full time, I just enjoy working on the ol girl haha.

I get it dirty on the 22s though!

Likewise, Im working part time in running/managing a business, construction related. Im 3 semesters away from bachelors. I may or may not lift my truck. Lately I've been itching a powerstroke so I'll probably keep mine as is and go all out on the super duty.

You plan on keeping the two tone red/grey?

Yeah no plans for paint, I used to hate the grey at the bottom but I think it looks great since I did the Auto Empire Vinyl on there. I originally went to buy a super duty black/grey Harley Davidson F250 but a guy was driving off in it when I got to the dealership ended up settling with the F150 due to diesel prices and all that.

Soundstreams were delivered today, girl at the shop called me and said I think they sent you double your order there's 8 speakers not 4 haha.

Specs on those according to soundstream are max 170w, 8ohm impedance, frequency response 150-10kHz, efficiency 96dB and 2.75" mounting depth.
