Ok I give up. Another day and now I can't get the face panel back on correctly and now the radio says the RF frequency is bad. Anybody want to buy a Cobra 29 LX?

Ok I am lost here, what did you solders? The COAX for the antenna or something else? If you are using COAX with the end that you solder on and you pinched/cut your COAX I would just start over. This is the only Firering COAX that I use now and it's pretty easy to intall with the small PF259 end on it.

I have taken the firering out and put my old one back on. Is the firering the best or can I use the firstik K8 on? Thats what I have now but I think i broke something in it when I took it out the first time.

Ok got it all figured out! After buying a new coax and a new antenna I found out there is a little screw on the inside that sometimes comes out of wack! No problems lol I knew this couldn't be this hard.

Very close to actually buying my F150's first saddle toolbox, already have the Cb radio, antennas and mounts as well as the cord. But now there's the problem on where to mount them? I'd like to mount em on the toolbox. But in addition to the antenna installation, I was going to install clearance lights on the tool box. Not sure where to put the antennas now haha.
