Be very careful about putting radios in enclosed areas !! They must be ventilated properly for cooling . My amateur radio will run 100 watts , that heat must be removed or the radio life will be shortened. Transistors don't like heat !

This is what I installed last year...the connections and "box" are under my console and all the controls and speaker are on the microphone. When I do not need it I simply remove the microphone and place it in my console. works very good and completly out of site...you can even get a second "box" and move the microphone from one veichle to another!

I like your set up, i was wondering why you set up your cb at an angle? as i would like to retain the space of my center console, so i was wondering if you think it be possible to set up a clean look like you did while sitting it completely vertically while turning it 90 degrees so the console will run parellel to the drivers legs?
The Magnum is a very large 10 meter radio and had to mounted that way, The Cobra is not stock and has the RFX75 final section added to the rear of the radio. If you are using a stock small chassis radio like a Cobra 29 with only internal mods it will fit just as you would like it to.
