Almost done :-) Photos....

Well, last week I finished my rear wall, and floor build in my Supercab. I was really happy with how it came out. Extremely solid and clean. 3/4" sub-flooring, bolted in with 3/8" stainless bolts. The floor had to be about 6" high, to sit on the ledge across the back, and make all of my floor space flat. The space under it is still totally usable though. Simply slide either of the seats forward for access {to rainjacket, jumper cables, tools, etc}

Then I bolted my custom built enclosure in. The amp is bolted in too (by special means.... put it this way, a thief won't get it out.... in once "sellable" piece anyway).

Anyway, I hope to be able to get in the truck, and turn on the stereo within 3 more weeks :-) Whooo Hooo !

This angle shows how the face of the box, follows the angle of my drivers seat, slid all the way back, and tilted to my normal driving position.

Peace,
Fish

Nice setup, I wish I didn't need my back seat.

Heys guys....

Yes, my subs are eD 13Kv.2's. Supposedly pretty nice, efficient SQ type of subs. But I'll let you know how they sound when I fire them up. The box is solid as it can be, spot on 3 cubes, and tuned to exactly 30 hz.... which is what eD recommends for these subs, for an SQ setup.
The fact that so many people hate the owner of this company means absolutely "zero" to me :-)

Styx, the funny thing is, I planned to remove the rear seats, the same day I was buying it, just because rear seats in a truck {for me} are completely worthless. But it would be at least 2 more months, before I even got the idea for an aftermarket stereo system.
Sure, I've thought about how I could easily fit four 15"s with all of the space I have....... and 20 years ago, I might have. But I'm thinking two 12"s with 350wts RMS each, two 8"s with 111 wts each, and a set of component mids/highs with 111 wts RMS each should be plenty for a nice, daily driving SQ setup. And, I still have lots of room back there for groceries, an icebox, camera gear... whatever.
+ I can hop over into the passenger seat and recline it all the way back, and sleep in it if neccessary.

Peace,
Fish

Good job on making everything look nice and clean while still having some back seat storage.

Hey Low_e....

It was a tight fit.... no, I mean a REALLY tight fit.... but I was shooting for minimum width for my enclosure, so as to keep my box all behind one seat or the other. Ended up choosing the drivers side.

Anyway, here you go....

Oh, and the box was square as could be.... Don't let that barrel distortion from my point and shoot camera throw you off.

Peace,
Fish

PS, Now I see why you said > What is it ? < ....instead of > What are they ? < You were assuming I was running a single sub :-)
