Good choice on the radio, I am not familiar with the cab layout, but if you plan on using it alot just mount it where it is easy to see and operate while driving.

I ordered a new cobra radio and plan on trying to mount it under the heating/cooling controls in the center stack. I was going to try to take out the flip-out ash-tray thing and stick it in there. I will have to do some trimming of plastic but unsure of how much. I'll update the list afterwards.

ncpwt, thats a great mount. very factory looking, now if only someone made a CB with a wireless mic it would be the ultimate in factory looking with now wires hanging to clutter the dash and console

ncpwt, do you have the CB wired to your Ford speakers or what cause I highly doubt you can still hear from the CB's internal.

The right side of the CB is a front firing speaker. I've never had to turn it above mid-way, even at highway speeds.

The actual install was relatively simple after I found the right double-din install kit. I'll dig up the actual part number and post it if anyone's interested.

I would like to see the Double-Din kit---I have a Pioneer 4900, but I am sure that I can make it fit...thanks a lot.

I'm thinking of just mounting mine on the passenger side of the console, vertically along the console. Not really sure how it may interfere with leg room though.

I have my Galaxy mounted to the very front of the console. Down on the front is a little pocket, I just used selftapping screws and used a wide velcro strap. The strap keeps it tight to the console instead of using the bracket. Then I just fished the wires under the console, using the power port on the back of the console for power and ran the coax under the carpet and out the back of the cab. Inside of the console I've got my linnear for getting it out over the radio rambos !
