I'm trying to install a Ford Radio/Cassette Player (with CD button), Model # XL1F-18C870-EE and CD changer, Model # XW1F-18C830-AB in my 1999 F-150. Should be no problem as both came out of a 1999 Expedition.

However, I'm missing the wiring harness. Can anyone tell me which harness would connect these models and the best place to purchase it?

Did you cut it off when you took the original out or what?

They may not be the same harness, Expedition may have factory amps.

 

I bought the radio and changer off of eBay without the wiring harness. Seller said they came from a 99 Expedition with a non-amplified system. Think I'm just missing the wiring harness that connect the radio to the CD changer?

I doubt there is any aftermarket din cable out there, best to try dealership.

Thanks. After talking to one dealer who said Ford doesn't stock the harness and another that said he could order a complete wiring harness (not just radio to CD changer, but the whole set) for $2500, I called radiosandmore and they're sending me a harness that is suppose to work for $42...$48 including shipping.

If it works, as I hope it will, I'll let everyone know.
