Pioneer AVIV N1

I just purchased the Avic N1 all in one DVD/Nav system. Its Pioneers new head unit. I recieve it on Friday.

http://www.avic-n1.com/

Eventually I want to get 2 Monitors for my headrests. I want to do the install into the headrests myself-Cant see spending $1200 on already installed ones.

Has anyone doen this, and if so what and how did you do it. Also was it hard to do?

Thanks for any advice

Got the unit

Got the Avic yesturday, now its in the stereo shop being installed, will post pics of it once I get it back.

I was going to do the install myself, but this one needs to be wired to the computer so it can display the truck gauges on the screen. Didnt want to mess with that.

2003F150Supercr,
A couple questions.
Did you get a good deal? (From who and how much)
What did they charge for the install?
It looks like it sits pretty far out of the dash. Is this because of clearance issues with the screen?
If your uncomfortable discussing prices online, feel free to contact me off line.
Thank you very much for the info.
Lonny

I paid $1300- install cost $75
Purchased the unit off ebay, watch out if you buy off there-make sure they have a good rep, cause there is alot of frad going on with these high dollar units.

The unit sits out because of the pioneer trim, Yes it needs to sit out that far because of the screen. Its really not as far as it looks.

This unit is awesome!!

Cool. Thanks for the info. I will be getting one soon.
I really like that it has multiple zones, so the kids can watch a DVD on the roof screen and I can listen to music and watch the route on the front screen.
What else could a guy ask for?

If you don't mind me asking 2003F150Supercr was the person you got the unit from on ebay a person that normally sells these units or a one time thing and was it buy it now or normal bidding process? If the guy normally sells them if you could please let us know the seller name so maybe we can get in on this deal.

Thanks

I got mine from a seller who only had one, and it was a Buy It Now Price.

I just looked on ebay and looks like several people are selling for cheaper but buyer beware, dont send payment in form of Money order, there is no way of getting it back if your scammed. I wouldnt recommend buying from someone who sells the item outside the US as well.

The below auction is the cheapest price as of today and his reputation is good as well:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...712158440&rd=1

Shipping Included in this total $1445.00

Just have to keep an eye out on ebay daily and you will find one eventually.

Good Luck.
