Two CDs accidentally in, neither will come out - help

Explorer, Sport 1999
I popped a CD into the single play slot, not realizing that my daughter had left her CD in the other day. Now I can't get them out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

After working for a technology department for years, I have had to take many floppy disks out of zip drives that people have put in. Either needlenose pliers or long tweezers have worked well with a good yank. Never tried it with a car cd player, or a slot loading cd player in general, but you might try it if the knives don't work.

You may have to pull the radio out and take it apart if the methods listed above don't work. My wife had a Trooper a while back that had an in-dash 6 disc changer. Same thing that happened to yours happened to her (turned into a 7 disc changer). I had to pull the radio and take it apart to get those out.

I've had to take zip drives apart also to get stuff out, like cd players, it's not much fun, but sometimes needs to be done. I have taken a cd rom drive apart before, but did not need to get anything out. It's not terribly hard.

I was able to get the CDs out with a fine surgical hemostat that worked like a needlenose pliers. Unfortunately it scratched the CD pretty badly (it was a book on tape from the public library), but at least I can use the player. Thanks for the help.

Glad that you got them out. Sorry that the cd was from the library, but I am sure that you will be able to straighten that one out. A lot better then ahving to open your HU in my opinion.
