Lets see your BEDCOVERS!

I'm planning on getting a hard bedcover soon, and I just want the best one I can get. If you guys can post pics of yours, and how they fit, how they're holding up, cost, and whatever else is helpful. Thanks

Advance Folding hardcover

I put the Advance Cover on my 2001 SCrew.
*Cost around $500.
*Installed myself.
*Low and flat like the soft covers.
*Hard and secure/locking.
*Easy to open/close by myself.
*Can operate it with 1/2 the cover open to carry tall items.
*Can take it off by myself (in less than 2 minutes) if I get somewhere and need to use the bed open. Cover folds and fits in the bed with whatever I'm carrying.
*Haven't experienced any trouble with leaking. Live in Houston. We had about 72" of rain last year. I go through the premium drive thru/hand car wash once a week and don't have any problems with leaking.
*Link to more photos of the cover in my gallery.

sporkdevil,
The best fitting cover for the flareside is made by ARE. They are a little expensive (around $700), but well worth the money. I bought mine four years ago and haven't had any problems with it.
Since the flareside bed is not square, other covers won't fit as well and may not cover the bed rail protective plastic.

Strongwind,

You Advance top looks great. How many holes total did you have to drill? You mentioned it locks. Where/how does it lock. What is the surface material - a plastic or vinyl, etc. Is it strong enough to avoid being pryed up by the sides?

Any info would be appreciated, as I am shopping for a cover.

Thanks

Thumbs up

I have a Snuglid. Fits great and no leaks! I prefer the lower profile look. Cost varies with some options. Mine was $640.

Pics of my Century Lid. Don't see too many of those around here. Fit, sturdiness, ease of use, etc. all excellent. Cost was somewhere around $580, I think, but don't know for certain since it was a gift... Don't want to be rude to the gifter, you know. Added a bedrug last month, not shown in the pics.

SDScrew,

Sorry I missed your post. hope this info isn't too late.

The hinge attaches to the bed through 4 small holes (2 on each side) blind riveted to the bed.

As for security, i suppose someone with a crowbar and a real desire to get in, probably could. Locks on the corners with a key. It's about the only thing i don't like. Would like to be able to only turn the key one time to unlock it. have to go to both corners.

It's made out of 2 sheets of aluminum with a foam core. sturdy and lightweight. can handle it myself with ease.

here's a link to a dozen or so photos of the cover on my truck (including quite a few details)

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey LeanNCut - Gig em! ('86)

Smile here's my literider rollup tonneau cover

Here is my cover. Its a literider roll-up cover made by a company in North Dakota called agri-cover. I have it on my supercrew with a bedrug and love it. Here's a pic from the factory website LiteRider Website

It works great for me. I haul things alot and can open it and close it quickly. Plus my bride can use it as well.

Thumbs up hard tonneau!

I have a RALLY hard tonneau cover made by Glasstite. It actually came with my truck when I bought it. I really have enjoyed it. It is sealed so that water can't get in and I like the way it looks. My favorite part is that it curves over the edge and around to give it a nice custom look. I saw one in a magazine and found that you can contact these people if you want one:

Penda Corporation, Dept. TR
