I just put mine in about 2 weeks ago. Put the horn under the front end and everything else in the box. Hooked up my compressor the trailer 12v feed with a switch in the box and a fuse right under the bed. Only comes on with the key. I have a on/off switch in the dash for the horn "off" stock horn "on" big horn and stock horn. Best part is I can blast it with the remote.

What kit do you have?

are they really loud or deep? loud enough to scare people on the streets?

reason i ask if there loud is because i drive past the las Vegas sign everyday on my way home from work and theres always people standing there taking pics, it would make the drive home much more fun to scare them lol

Not really a kit, I got them from a friend. The horns are Kleinn 3 bells and the compressor is Viair 380c. Everything is for 200psi but I only have it running 140psi. Not really that deep cuz my friend has got the 5 bell off a train and you can tell the diff from up close. But 2 or 3 blocks away you have a hard time. And yes they are loud, and yes you will scare people. This guy pulled up next to me in a hummer the other day with his bass banging real loud. Needless to say the bass went away And I really love the people walking across the street real slow.

I couldnt bring myself to spend over a 1000 on a horn, unless you know were to get them cheaper

yes very
Just look up nathan train horn on ebay . Just make sure they have good feedback . My horns were used, off a Union Pacific locomotive .So, long as theres no dents or cracks . they should be fine . Theres nothing really to go bad . except some o rings and the rubber cushion rings in the diaphram. here's some http://cgi.ebay.com/Nathan-AirChime-...QQcmdZViewItem

I think there wrong about the k3la part there just like mine . k3ha IMO . The only diference in the K3ha and the K3la is the mount H= high L= low and you can turn the horn in any direction by the way .When i got mine they weren't as dirty . But All those need is some steel wool and some black spray paint.
