Question Cheapest fun mod you've done?

I'm always looking for new things to do, and I'm sure you all are too. So what do you think the neatest, but also cheap mod is that you've done?

Cool

I installed the molded Ford mud flaps without removing the wheels first. Completed the front by turning the wheels one way for one side and the other way for the other side. Completed the rear using a Dremel tool with a right-angle attachment. Sure beat paying someone else to do the work; leaves more money for other gadgets.

i spent about 15 bucks with everything i used. i have a billet grille w/out the logo in it. so, i drilled a couple holes in my bumper and stuck a ford probe blue oval in my bumper and attached it with jb weld. very easy and i got the idea out of a truck mag just looking closely at the pics.

Not many "cheap" mods here. Probably the cheapest and fairly functional I've done is the addition of the driver's side grab handle to the A-pillar. About $30. Can't tell it wasn't in there from the factory. They didn't start coming from the factory with driver's side handles until '00.

Now, if I can just figure out how to cut in that fourth door....

------------------
98 F-150 XLT 4X4 ORP Super Cab Short Bed, 4.6, Auto, 4.10's, Mag-Hytec diff. cover, Magnacharger supercharger, K&N FIPK, Superchip, Gibson single cat-back, 80/100w German head lamps, 80w amber fog lamps, Warn HS9500i winch with semi hidden mount, Wrangler dual battery kit with red & yellow top Optima batteries, 285/75R16 Goodyear MT/R's, 16x8 Center Line Hell Cats (JUNK WHEELS), Rancho RSX shocks, B&M deep aluminum trans pan, Rhino bedliner. Needs one more door.

Thanks for the answers everyone. That should give me some ideas and keep me busy for a while. I'm planning on painting the under the hood items, any recommendations on what I should use for prep?

skicrave: . . . the cheapest ($9.95 @ WalMart) is the 4th Brake light in the hitch reveiver, this one has a four wire lead so it works as a tail light too . . . and of course it looks great with the 55 watt Pilot Back-up lights on either side of it ($25.00 auto parts stores) . . .

painting under the hood . . . one of the posts said he just used DuplColor (4 thin coats) . . . can't remember who posted it but the pictures looked great, did a fine job in picking colors, etc . . .

20 bucks will get enough paint to paint the lower valance on you truck the same color as the body.I bought the paint for mine 3 months ago and have been waiting for a warm sunny day to do the job.
