handgun in your truck?
{it's nice to know i'm not alone when i spout off with my opinions about radar detectors and other junk stuff like how to get out of tickets. i know there are a lot of fireman on the boards, but it seems that the LEO's are reluctant to come forward.}

We got our truck for family trips - had a Explorer wanted more room - didn't like the F150 Screw - not much more interior space and way too short of bed! We are very happy with our F250!
Take care!

we didn't need a whole lot of room in the back seat, so didn't need a screw. but we don't need the superduty either. we love our 150. it's a smooth ride. now if i can just figure out where to stick my firearm i'll be done tinkering....
Just thought I'd chime in here. You didn't say whether or not you will take your weapon with you when you get out of the truck at your destination. I carry off duty pretty much 100% of the time. I either carry a Glock 27 or a Kimber compact CDP in either a Kramer or Milt Sparks hip holster. Both holsters are very comfortable while sitting and very easily concealed with no imprint. Even though I have a security system in my truck, I refuse to leave anything like my firearms or other valuables in my truck when it is even parked in the garage at home. There's just too much of a chance that it will come up missing. Just my opinion, but I think you should wear a holster on your person and carry it with you.

the firearm will come off the duty belt when off-duty. and the firearm stays in the vehicle when off-duty (unless in use). so a holster of any sort is out. bottomline is that if i have the radio in the vehicle i must have the firearm in there too. of course, if i didn't want the radio....i'd be out of a job. or something like that.
last time to sent it back to the top....
