hmm. maybe disassemble the speaker and take a look to see if you can wire it yourself. I actually have no clue.

hey buckles, do you know if there is a better way to get power other than the cig lighter. I want it to appear more permanent, im not one for loose wires.

oh sorry. ya i bought some speaker wire and soldered it to my wires coming out of the speaker and ran in through the back of the cab(my speaker is mounted in the bed) then i went to radioshack and got a 3.5mm headphone jack. they come like 2 to a pack, then i soldered the speaker wire to that, so it plugs right into the back of the radio. if you want i can take some pics of mine later

you can actually buy a wire from radio shack that has the jack on it and two stripped wire ends, splice to the two wires from the speaker, then tape them up separately, plug in and start talking. I have the same set up on my truck

or you can grab that 3.5mm plug and some butt connectors instead of taping them together, just crimp them. its safer, more secure, and less of a hassle than soldering

We had trouble finding the hole on my truck, and in the essence of time, we ran the wire straight up to the hood and back from there. You can see some wire when the door is open around where the mirror is, and then we pushed it into the weather stripping and went down to the floor.

Sorry no pics; it's cold, wet, and windy outside.

thats the hard wall separating the cab from the engine bay. if you look under the dash where the pedals are, you should see a firewall delete. its a little rubber oval, you can cut a slit in it and run the wires through it

Someone give me a heads up on all this wiring talk. **Stupid question** but, ...... does all this need to be wired to the battery? LoL And assuming it does.... both the speaker AND the CB?
JUST CLARIFYING!
Thats it? Just wire it all together, .... and enjoy? Ill worry about hiding it all when it's operational!
