I install every week at least one or more Electric-Life ( www.electric-life.com ) window kits for dealers and customers. They are a full power bolt in kit that replaces your original cranking system regulator. For your truck it is a model number # FD83-K

The two door switch kit I used in this picture is model #4980-31-009
I also added door lock switches from SPAL
The cap for the crank hole is from Electric-Life but I can't remember the model numer

How much do you charge for this, including labor?

Windows installed labor and all is $500. Power door locks with MES (swiss made) actuators, switches, and keyless entry system runs $250 to $300 depending what keyless entry system you prefer. Either the cheap-o or a Code Alarm keyless system. All come with a 3 year warranty.

Lately I have been working a deal on a whole fleet sale of F450s and F550 crew cabs and a couple F150s for a local fleet dealer. Twenty-two trucks total that I have a little over a month to get done. Gonna start on them Tuesday when the first trucks hit. Makes for a long, drawn out day. Sucks even more since they now all have plug-in door harnesses that I have to dremel out to get my wiring through for all four doors. Those trucks are prices out at $1250 apeice with keyless/remote starts included.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you have your hands full. With the price you gave, I'm sure i'll try to install it myself one day. I'll probably screw it up, but I'll do it . Then I'll have an excuse to buy a new truck.

I installed mine was labor intensive but not that hard ,running the wirring harness thure the door to the truck was the hardest , I did the Power locks at the same time while the door panel was off , bought the locking part at best buy , system is pretty much bullet proof it been over a year now with no problem.
Cost for windows $225.00 Spal
Door locks $ 40.00
Alarm $89.00 Vipor alarm 3 button remote

Was that a direct bolt in kit or is that the universal Colibri? Can't seem to find that part# on their website.

Direct bolt-in. These replace the actual entire window assembly. They are not the universal ones like Spal or Colibri that simply go around the original hand crank shaft and turn it. The part# for some reason isn't listed on Electric-Life's website but it is a working number. I have informed them several times about this but they have yet to have thier web guys fix it. Their website is outdated from what they have available. They have several new products out this year that is not listed on their site such as new model suicide door hinges and a new dead bolt locking system for the suicide doors and more.

The kit takes me 3 hours to install at $60.00 an hour. If the truck has the newer plug in door boots then I charge an extra hour since I have to remove the entire plug assembly from the body door jamb and dremel it out to run the window wires, switch wires, and actuator wires. This requires to remove the parking brake from the kick panel and basically cut your hands up...lol

Thanks for the response! One more question, I have a supercab but they don't list a kit for my truck, will the kit they list for a 2 door work for me?

I order the kits all the time. Electric-Life is a Chicago based company.

Thanks again for all your help! I feel like I owe you something. I just ordered the kit from a ca. company for $272.00 shipped! I ordered a different switch kit though w/ the angled bezel. Thought it would look a little better in the truck.
