Radar Detectors

Anyone have one? Or does anyone have any suggestions on which are best?

Had one. It was free from a friend. It annoyed me, and finally died. If I really wanted one, I would buy a Valentine One.

Don't get a cheap detector, it's worse than none at all. All the false alarms make you ignore it until one day you ignore the speed tax collector.
Two good ones:
Valentine One
Escort 8500
Both are expensive but missing one ticket will pay for each easily.
However, detectors can't protect you 100%. Drive with common sense and safely. Never be the fastest car in the area.

I'd get the Escort 8500, read about the Valentine 1 here:

Valentine 1 looks kinda cheesy

Here's another review:

The cordless Escort Solo S2 looks interesting and no cords is kinda nice

I have had many over the years including escort but the one I like the best is an old pear shaped cobra. It gets very few false alarms and it's the loudest one I've ever had! I can't even imagine driving without one. It has saved me so many times! Every time my friends get tickets I tell them to get one but for some reason they just don't listen! If you like to get that sound system jammin make sure you get a loud one with volume control! And remember, if the cop has his radar off and then shoots you with it YOUR DEAD!
