'09 Nav install help!! where does the power wire go?

Here is my situation.... I have an 09 STX. I am nstaling an AVIC x920bt i bought from a guy from the other forum. It is alrady wired for an 08 so i plugged it up just to see if i could be that lucky. And NO it did not work. That leads me to one question. 1) there are two connectors that come out of the factory unit... will the harness adapter for an 09 have both those plug in, or just one? ? and question number 2) The audio guy i spoke to told me that i would have to run my power wire to the ignition and that the harness adapter doesnt run power. If that is the case where should i run my power? I had a similar situation with my old '06 chevy.
any and all help would be great! Thanks ahead of time!!
--- also after hearing i would have to run my power wire somewhere else, i started to think... will the 08 harness work? it plugs in. I just assumed since the power didnt come on, that it must not work.... but if the power has to run smewhere else, perhaps the harness will work...?? Input anyone?

Picture of the two connectors that came off the factory unit.

Check Metraonline.com for the adapters you'll need. That made it a breeze!

Me too. the wire i cut will not affect me replacing the oem radio. the factory harness is unaffected. The unit was already wired with an '08 harness that i just used. The only isue i had was the power problem.

Not the best pic, and the Metra Kit is okay, not great, but thhis is a major upgrade for me, so i may look at the other kits later on.

The little coin holder to the left (non 4wd) has the power wire for the 4wd switch. I spliced Into it.

Yu will have to ask around on that one. When I bought mine the previous owner had it wired to an '08 harness, and luckily it worked on mine, minus the power wire. That's the only thing I had to find to splice into for mine. Sorry I can't be any more help.
