hope the one you got works out. let us know
I paid 25 bucks for mine if they really want it that bad go for it...if the theives want it they'll do what it takes...i'd rather them yank that off without any problems then try to gouge the **** out of my tailgate and scratch it up.

O.E back up camera

I have a 2010 supercrew and of course, the truck did not include the reverse camera option. I have contacts at FCSD who said I need the Gentex mirror with monitor, the camera, tailgate harness and headliner harness.
My question, how difficult is it to install the headliner harness?

Im in the market to buy a new truck. The one that i really like has the sony navigation in it. Are these head units that much of a theft item and what are most doing to prevent this from happening { a perimater alarm }. It really made me think when i went to another dealer and saw that they pulled all of them out of the cars {F-150,flex } while sitting on the lot with a piece of paper over hole in dash saying they will install unit after car is sold. thx

How does the wiring work with the backup camera? I just ordered a new touchscreen stereo with backup camera....Once I mount it, where do the wires go? Where do I break through the firewall to get into the cab?

it depends on what year/model you have, but most have a grommet in the drivers floor that is easier then the firewall.

It's not as cheap as some but the Alpine backup camera along with the steel license plate mount works for me... A special alan wrench is needed to remove, it comes with the unit...

I got my cam last week and installed it saturday her are some pics ..im not sure if i like it yet i know i dont like the view now b/c at the top of the plate i cant see the bumper unless i angle it down and then cant see anything else but as far as the picture quality itself its great even at night also it blocks the state name so im gonna switch it to the bottom of the plate and see how that works out... JD how much did you pay for yours if you dont mind me asking ?

i will get some better pics soon of the picture quality

I just installed the audiovox aca200w. i went with this one because of the behind the plate mount but sometimes when i put my truck into reverse the camera's image is upside down. has anyone had this problem?

I have a AVH p6000DVD, I was checking out my manual and it states that I need a camera which outputs mirror reversed images...

what does that mean?

Are the one's listed above the one's that I need? I want to hook this up to my Pioneer HU.
