$479 is definitely a great deal. I've never heard of them either but I like that you can speak to a human on the phone. That seems worthy of risking the online purchase to me.

Crutchfield is worth it when buying head units typically because they give you everything you need including step by step vehicle specific instructions. At the same time, I agree, their prices are relatively high. I don't think they're inflated necessarily, just in line with Best Buy and Circuit City.

Good find!

Ya, Im sorry, I should explain my cruchfield comments better. They are great to deal with, and offer great support on installation. I personally dont really need that though. I have installed a fair amount of HU's and speakers, so I am comfortable without it. I can usually pickup the install harness and mount kit locally for pretty cheap. I dont want anyone to think I am bashing them, they are top notch, but you can almost always find the equipment online significantly cheaper. You are correct, their prices are right inline with BB or CC. Personally I would pick them up locally if I were to pay that much.

Looks very nice, does anyone know if this works with the factory subwoofer? I have the audiophile system, but would like to upgrade to an in dash NAV system...don't want to lose the factory sub or add new ones though.

Thanks!

As long as you buy the wiring kit for the audiophile system the sub will work no problem. If you buy from Crutchfield it includes the correct harness, just make sure you specifiy that you have the audiophile.

If the engine is off then I can hear the fan faintly. If the engine is running, even if just idling and no audio from the radio I can't hear it.
