Anyone try one of the new Kenwoods yet?
Anyone try one of the new Kenwoods yet? Also, will I be able to connect a XM receiver to the stock Sirius antenna?
Sirius and XM use different, but VERY close frequencies. There has been talk about the antenna being active- meaning it filters out unwanted frequencies, but even so, I have HEARD it will work - I just have not attempted it myself.
The antenna 'plugs' should be the same.
Worst case, you definitely will not HURT anything by plugging it in- if you hear nothing, though... you have the definitive answer.
So, to remove myself from 'the fence' - I am pretty sure it will work.

I have not purchased the unit yet, but I plan on soon. That was just one of the ideas I had in my mind while planning the install out.
Thanks.

Got my D3 in the mail today after a month of waiting, but hey I only paid $495 shipped to my door, brand new. Gonna have ot wait to get installed though until I get the truck back from the shop sometime next month (hopefully). Damn crappy azz drivers.
