I did A COMPLETE REVIEW that describes what you need to hook up to the PAC unit to make it work. It's not too bad if you're patient..

Yea thats a pretty sweet write-up... But I agree with the lack of features for the sirius units on the D3

What do you mean by "desperately missing low end"?

Also, will I be able to connect a XM receiver to the stock Sirius antenna?

Sirius and XM use different, but VERY close frequencies. There has been talk about the antenna being active- meaning it filters out unwanted frequencies, but even so, I have HEARD it will work - I just have not attempted it myself.

The antenna 'plugs' should be the same.

Worst case, you definitely will not HURT anything by plugging it in- if you hear nothing, though... you have the definitive answer.

So, to remove myself from 'the fence' - I am pretty sure it will work.

Not sure if you're talking to me but.....

I have not purchased the unit yet, but I plan on soon. That was just one of the ideas I had in my mind while planning the install out.

Thanks.

I mean that I need to add some bass to get decent full sound. My mids and highs are actually acceptable considering I'm running stock speakers in the rear and just some Alpine 5x7's up front. But defintely need that low end..

Oh I see. I thought that you might have meant that the D3 bass pre-amp was not as powerful as the stock radio.

Nope, with the exception of the sh**y Sirius interface I couldn't be happier with the D3. I thought I could survive without a little thump, I was wrong. My sub is on the way.
