04 f150 and up magellan navigation system

HOw well do these work ,i have an 04 xlt with 6 disc only ,will this plug right in and work.I have a portable garmin nav. we use now that we use in the truck and caddy srx but i wanted something that stays in the truck.There on ebay for $375 or so.

Works like a champ.Unit comes with adapter cable that goes in-line with head unit. Be sure to install a usb cable on nav unit so you don't have to pull it when update is released.

But when??? I called them about this and they couldn't tell me. Sometimes this thing will get me going the wrong way and then get confused because of the changes in the roads. I didn't notice this when I first bought it. Not that I'm not happy with it but I would like them to update it. I'm having doubt that that will even happen. You gotta figure all they really did was use the handheld 760 Roadmate in a custom made pod.

Not trying to steer you away with my above post. I've had mine a little over a year now and it's a nice unit, just need updated maps for my area. Under 400$ is a great deal from where they started in price. I paid a lot more than that myself as probably most did when it first came out. It does look great on the dash, you can see a picture of mine in my gallery.
