I also put the Nav antenna on the metal bracket behind the radio and just under the Aux port tray.

The bypass is super easy and all can be done at the kitchen table with all the other wiring.
You only need to tap 2 wires once in the truck...VSS(at the radio harness) and Reverse(at the drivers kick panel), everything else is plug and play.

can i hook the vss wire to a plug in the dash somewhere? thanks

I mounted the antenna in the dash tray. I cut the rubber mat where the antenna sits so it could sit flat.

Grey/black Pin 14 in the main radio harness.
