I just installed the AVIC with this kit the other day. It is the Bestkit. I got both that one and the Metra and liked the Bestkit one better. The Bestkit is more of a snug fit than the Metra. And it has a better texture to it and IMO looks better in the car. Pictures don't do it justice.

I also put the Nav antenna on the metal bracket behind the radio and just under the Aux port tray.

The bypass is super easy and all can be done at the kitchen table with all the other wiring.
You only need to tap 2 wires once in the truck...VSS(at the radio harness) and Reverse(at the drivers kick panel), everything else is plug and play.

 

can i hook the vss wire to a plug in the dash somewhere? thanks

 

I mounted the antenna in the dash tray. I cut the rubber mat where the antenna sits so it could sit flat.

 

Grey/black Pin 14 in the main radio harness.
