You don't think I've tried a simple disk copy first? Everytime with the disk copy any dvd copy program I used would fail after copying the dual layer image from the original and right at the start of the burning operation. Even tried saving the image first to hard drive and it would still fail when you tried to burn the image. Results were the same with Nero and Roxio. Both are the latest releases. The above method works successfully. Have you tried what you are suggesting with an Eclipse Nav disk and been successful?

The most logical reason I've been given for the copy a disk failure is that when copying disks the disk formats must be compatible. The Roxio help instructions bear this out.

Looking at the Roxio help you will see that a DVD RAM is not compatible to a DVD +R DL. Here's what it is compatible.

Source DISK Compatible Target
========= ===============
DVD-RAM to DVD-R***, DVD+R***, DVD-RW (quick erased), DVD-RW (full-erased), DVD+RW, DVD-RAM
*** The target disc will not be appendable.

I have the eclipse avn 5500, and I had to flip the brackets inside the dash that holds the head unit in around so that it would sit flush...keep playing with it, you will get it!
