Where did you get it. I just called them again and they told me would have to buy it on their website http://www.magellangps.com/products/MRM_software_v6.asp But the site is down until Monday. They also said it would be 79.99 after discount The first time I called they said it would be around 60

What version did you get?

Version 6

I called first then they told me to register my unit. From the registration screen it directs you to the updates. The cost was $79.99 but they give you a $20.00 coupon code to use which makes it $59.99 plus $6.00 for ground shipping. My receipt shows Roadmate 700/760 NA map and software update version 6.0
I believe if your registered you get them first and at a discount. Hope this helps.

P.S. I recieved an Email confirmming my order.

Cool the discount works but I also need to get the usb cable so I can update it right? on their website I can see the usb cable but it's not giving me the option to buy it. Did you order one or did you already have it or do I not need it? I'm thinking I will need it to connect it to my laptop https://www.magellangps.com/products/accessories.asp second to the last item

Usb

I installed a USB cable when I first put unit in. You can get one at any electronics store and maybe even walmart. They are quite common, just have to get one with what is called a mini plug, the basic ones do not fit.

Before I ordered mine I called them and they said they were available. So, I went ahead and paid extra to have is expedited. I still have not received mine either. I called them about it today and was told the disc is on back order

I ask for a refund on the extra I paid for shipping and was told they can not refund any shipping cost unless I cancel the order

You can if you call them. I spoke with them again later yesterday about my order. I was still trying to get them to not charge me the extra I am paying for the expedited shipping. They said they can not make any changes to the order other than to cancel it. I guess I'll let them have my money and wait instead of reordering to save a few dollars. I'm sure that would put me in the back of the line.

What's wrong here is I was speaking with them on the phone while I placed my order on the net. They told me they were available as I was doing it If I had known they were really on back order I would have just placed the order with standard delivery, and been happy.

Anyways, The first guy I spoke with (early yesterday) said they would be available in a week. The second guy I spoke with was a manager (Nata) he said they would be available in 2 to 3 weeks. We might get them by Christmas

It wasn't to long ago their entire web site was down for a couple of week's maybe months, not sure. At the time I was getting my traffic kit setup and needed to get to their web site in order to get a special number that allowed me to use it. I paid for the darn thing and then could not use it for quite a while util the web site was back up. I told them they could run another instance of there web site until the revised one was complete, but I don't think they got it. Now I'm waiting again!
