Alpine IVA-W200 Installed

Finally took a couple of pics of the new Alpine. I love how flush it sits with the dash. Looks even better in there than the Kenwood did. Updated pics are here:

That does look very nice, clean.

I'm happy with my JVC KW-AVX706, but your Alpine is about the best looking unit I have seen in these trucks.

I like your Kick Panels too.
Nicely integrated setup.

Thanks for the comments. I have the D310 in our Honda Pilot so, the interface is not new to me. I love it. Being able to touchscreen everything is what sets it apart. The biggest plus was direct DVD control on the screen. Something the Kenwood DDX-7015 did not have. I always had to dig out the remote control.

New amps will be coming soon. Probably the Alpine MRA-D550 theater amp with the MRD-M600 mono sub amp.

Very nice dconder! Do you have the iPod hookup? And I was wondering if you built that sub box or if you purchased it premade. If so, where? Thanks

I do not have the IPOD. I have not ventured into the wonderful world of the IPOD yet. And the box, I just bought premade at a local store. It was actually for a 10 and I made the hole to fit the 12. It is a big small for the sub but, still sounds really good.

Thanks for the comments.

The Rainbows are outstanding. I never thought a $150 component set could sound so good. I think a lot of it is because of the kick mounting. The image and staging is better than I would have ever thought from being low in the kick panels. The stage is really high and out in front of you.

The Tweets are the Cal25, silk I believe.

Looks great! How does the Alpine work with Sirius? Can you memo songs like some of the add-on units?

Ok cool. Thats the same one I got the first time. I guess you drilled out the mounting holes to get it to sit further back in the dash...I broke one of the tabs on mine so I need to get a new one. Let me know what you did to it to get it to sit that flush..mine sticks out about 1/4" right now.

Thanks

Actually, I did not drill any new holes. I just moved it back as far as I could and found two holes to line up. My old Kenwood did not have the same holes so it had to sit about a 1/2 out. The Alpine is maybe 1/8 at the most.

Some units let you program favorites when they come on, give you a message to switch channels.
