What a stud, the one I am chasing is probably in the same area, possibly a touch bigger it was pretty dang dark the day I saw him.

took the new AR out yesterday, and it went bang! Very happy with my build. put 125 rounds through, 223 and some 556. I've always been a scope guy, so iron sights are really new to me on a rifle. put everything on the upper half of a 12" target @ 50yrds, but it was getting cold so I packed up. Next nice day will throw some more down range.

Sounds like the ar is gonna be a shooter once you figure out the sights.

And congrats on those deer!

I got a new toy as well! Winchester 70. 7mm WSM. I'll get a photo up soon, hopefully. Gonna say it was a major upgrade from the Remington 770 in .243!

You can take my 45-70 with 300gr round and get sore in one shot.....

Or a side by side shot gun and do a combo pull on both triggers...

I wish I had seen this thread in July. I visited Omaha for a wedding then. I didnt know what to expect when I got there. We stayed at The Magnolia downtown and didnt get out of the dt area much. We used the shuttle to get around that the hotel provided. We did visit the Zoo though. Thats a great zoo! But for a large city it seemed very dead around there. But Ive lived in Chicago and Nashville so I may have been spoiled. But very nice place and great food everywhere.
