Thanks I have a sick truck though, I have coils, spark plugs, and injectors to put in hopefully it will solve my misfire under slight load.

Its really not bad, I have done 3 plug changes on the 3v 5.4s and have been pretty lucky so far. I have a few tricks to get it done with not much blood sweat or tears hopefully. I have changed them once before so I am thinking they should come out easier if all goes well. That and I worked the truck hard for 600 miles pulling trailers with OD off trying to make sure to help burn out any build up on top of using fuel system cleaners.

I managed to get my plugs, coils, injectors and oil changed out yesterday in about 3 1/2 hours. It all went smooth and I found the cause of the misfire.

I have never saw a plug so bad before in my life. It only had 30,000 on the plugs. Truck runs like it should and I now have piece of mind again. It just makes me cringe to think that the piece had to of broke off and passed through the motor. Luckily it didn't hang in the cylinder or on a valve.

Wow....it's been 2 months since someone has posted in this thread!

Sold the WRX STi and picked up a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek this past Tuesday. Loved the STi....but didn't like how expensive it was to own it. Insurance, Gas, Maintenance, and monthly payment are all cheaper now with this new vehicle.

I have accepted an offer on a house - so will be moving out of my apt at the end of June. The home inspection process is next week Thursday - so as long as that's all good - the house is mine!

Hope everyone is doing well.
