i usually put together gatherings for boaters from other sites im on so this will be the first land AND water based gathering for me... so deal with a few things while i accomadate everyone.
i say just copy and paste the below, and fill in your answers

Should it be in late May or in June?

Make it a 2 day event; party Friday nite and introduce ourselves then go out on the boat Sat. yes or no?

Make it 1 day, Friday or Sat?

Kid friendly or adults... kids or adults?

now heres a little info:
Metro Beach is in Harrison Twp near Mt clemens. it is really only a 5 minute ride from I-94's exit 236.



the area where i would dock and we can hang is right next to where we can all park our trucks, so we can all oggle over your trucks, and they will be in site at all times too


if its kid friendly, the place has things for the kids to do, but i think the water outing should be left for adults only
there is also a launch ramp right there so you can bring your own boat/jet skis with you.

as for going out on the water, i know the hotspots where i dont think one person wont have fun!!!

sounds like a plan to me! i know the dock your talking about, and that would be prime spot.
friday and saturday?... I would say for sure sat,may about noon, meet up in the parking lot hand for a bit, then hit water! I would be up for fridaynight as well, but that may be difficult for others, I dont have kids so that dosent matter, i would say 1st or 2nd weekend in june (weather should be good for sure). i might be able to talk a few freinds with boats to show up as long as nobody minds!

That dock is real close to my house. Don't have a boat though. Let me know date and time and I'll steal one.

 

No need for a boat Shorty. this is just another excuse to get on the water

it will be a land based thing, with a bar-b-q, horseshoes etc, until we decide to get our feet wet

 

Sounds like a great idea. I would prefer June. May is booked already. Two days would work for me. No preference on the kids part. Don't have any, maybe I'll find a girl willing to practice with at this shindig. Anyway thats my 2cents. Let us know what you come up with.
