I've been wondering the same thing. I check on this thread all the time and all I have been seeing lately is tumbleweeds blowing around in the cobwebs haha. ruffin-it, I see that you have a police interceptor badge on your truck. Did you take some parts off of a 5.4L police car? Pretty cool to say the least!

I might take you up on that some night if it will be ongoing and I am in town. I live in Hampton but have friends and family all over the south side and am out that way a lot. I'm also an AJ Gators fan. Only bad thing is I'm in NJ full time for the next 4 months, with the exception of weekends. Lucky me...I get to drive home after work on Friday nights...do housework all day Saturday for my wife...and drive back to NJ on Sunday so I can be at the job site Monday morning. All good though; I like the work. Hope to be able to meet sometime.

Friday I was doing some trail riding on my bicycle in York County.
A fox trotted across the trail about 20 feet ahead of me and I thought it was the biggest fox I ever saw.

Then I come across two guys walking their dogs. I told them I saw a fox about the size of their dogs, which were medium sized. They laughed and said thanks.

It kind of bugged me, I knew what I saw wasn't a dog.
I did some internet searching and found that the largest fox in the area, the Red Fox, doesn't get much bigger than a large cat.

Then I stubbled across a pic of a coyote.
That was it, 50 lbs, the snout, the ears, the bushy tail and the toothpick legs.

I knew coyotes were in the western part of the state but, never heard of them in east coast counties.

I called the local Ranger station and they confirmed there were coyotes in the area.

Well, I've been out in those woods for years and always thought I was the biggest, baddest **** around. Deer fear me, squirrels beat feet when I let out a holler and know I mean business. I figured there wasn't nothing I couldn't kick or stomp or beat with a stick.

This coyote just ambled across without increasing his gait. At the time, I thought that was kind of uppity for a fox, no matter how big it was. I mean, not showing me proper respect and all.

Now, I find out there's 45-50 lb carnivores out there.
Maybe I'll take up bowling.

That IS crazy. I've road my bike around the Yorktown area for years and have never even seen a fox....much less a coyote. I'd like to see one though.
