A his and hers Blackwood. Soooo Nieman-Marcus!!!!!
That would really be something to see for sure.

Seriously, at 25k or a tad less, the truck would be a pretty good value and you would have two of something of around 3,400 or so produced. I am sure it would be worth an article in one of the enthusiast magazines.

There was a Neiman-Marcus edition Blackwood. Have you ever seen one? I saw one listed some time ago. Had special seat covers, badging and a TV monitor, I think.

Question....Can you drive with the tonneau cover open? I'm trying to figure out how to get my Xmas tree home.

Jim:
I am too busy or maybe lazy to search it out, but can you get the LT with a nav system and a DVD system? If so I may change my mind as I have already agreed with you that for what I need a truck for the Blackwood is lacking in the bed department. An LT, or as I describe it, a Town Truck, might be a viable alternative to something else.

Rich: Yep there was such a model and I posted long ago about trying to buy the seats out of one here in Atlanta. I dropped out at about $1500 I think.

You can drive with the lid up and I have done it many times.
But.......I was more or less told by my service dept. that this may have been the reason my power module failed which disabled the opening and closing of the lid. Read my thread here about need help now where I discuss this and then Capt.JJ's remarks about rather a lot of failures of this module. I can only guess that the electronic controller is continuing to try to close the lid even though you have closed it on your particular load and let off the control button which leaves the lid in whatever open position you desired. I have never tried to drive it with the barn doors open but I think you cannot do that.

Bill,
The LT doesn't come with a Nav System and I think if you get the moon roof you can't get the DVD "not sure". On the internet it shows the LT with two pipes out behind the right rear tire, but at the dealer this morning it only shows one pipe out. So here I go again HD system and the one on my truck now
they couldn't get the HD chrome tips mine exhaust man put two of his chorme tips on. I get the 8 spokes chorme wheels at N/C since I order before Jan. saving $800.00+ Your dealer should have
the list of all the add on now mine dealer had them.
It does come in 5 colors: red, black, gray, sliver, and beige. I'm getting all the add on expect DVD, running
board don't like the flat board, but lincoln has the chorme one your dealer orders them and put them on when it get here. Same with the bed rails because I want the power sliding type bed cover, and dealer will order smaller rail that will work.

Bill,
Forgot to tell you that mine BW stayed in town and about a month ago the module on the bed lid went out. I just happen to be their when the lady came in with it and I did get to tell what had come up on this site about the module.

Thanks Jim:

Do I understand that the Nav system is "not available" or just that you did not order it??? As a primary vehicle, I will not have a car/truck/suv that does not have a factory installed system.

As to the DVD versus the sunroof/moonroof, I found I do not use my sunroof very much at all and would go for a DVD system for my grandchildren who often ride in the back of the Blackwood in exchange for the "roof".

Regarding bed covers in general, I am about at the point where I would be satisfied with a very simple roll forward/roll back vinyl or whatever cover. I need to carry "stuff" and both my Lightning with the ARE lid which was a permanently installed flip up and the current Blackwood lid which is the same only electrically controlled, are not "stuff" friendly as you have already indicated.

Please let me know on the Nav system, is it an option or just not available at all???
