01 XLT Sport, no idea what his power numbers were on that blower....as in the car...not his girl
Didn't really pay attention much to the car...was distracted by the set of aftermarket headlights installed on the thing with the tight white top

The only thing I'm jealous of is your house and if I'm ever in Canada, I will look you up because I would love to see it.

Regarding the racing, it would be fun if it's on a road course. Realistically, if I ever visit Canada, I'll either get there by plane or drive my wife's f250 towing a trailer so the racing would never happen...

01 XLT Sport,

You're spending way to much of your time worrying about what this guy and his Honda S2000 can and can't do. Let the guy talk. If you don't want to hear him, then stay away. Their are Lightnings that are faster than some S2000'S and there are some S2000's that are faster than Lighnings. Don't let him bug you so much and just ignore him.

Harley#356,

Do you know if that S2000 is for sale and if it's a package deal? I'd trade my Navi for the complete setup.

I stand corrected and happily so

Those who know me remember that I do not try to put other folk down.

In my own defense on this one, I have read more than one road test that remarked something to the effect that the top end of a Lightning was "drag" limited to ~140 or so and had not to do with the motor. Ruslow helped with his remarks about mods other than the motor which would affect the coefficient of friction or whatever it is called that is at least a factor in the top speed of any vehicle I guess.

Again, not trying to wave the flag on anyone. I always thought a legitimate 140 mph for a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a dirty brick was pretty darned awesome. More speed to ya bluelightning

Bill

Spike Engeneering,

There is alot of open road up here, good for raceing. During the summer Months on the weekends the Red Deer locals and aswell as some from Edmonton and Calgary meet downtown Red Deer in a Insurance Companys parking lot (we usually fill the lot up) and at about 1:00 am we bugger off a half hour drive outside Red Deer to a newley paved secondary road that is not used that often and race. I had the fastest Vehicle in all of Red Deer and surrounding area.
I was told by Advantage Ford in Calgary, if i see a 99 red Lightning,"leave him alone" it has 4.10 gears and is bottle fed.
As for the house,
It is the house I always wanted, the front part walks right on to Sylvan Lake so you just go out there with i ice auger bore a hole and start fishing. In the summer we have our own private marina and Yact club. I live my life to the fullest.

I hit 156MPH with my beast.

digital speedo helps you find out your top speed when you really want to know.

Only did this once, but it was fun non the less. I've added allot more power since then, so who knows what I could run now? maybe 165mph, uhmmmmmmm?????

Navi Man:

LOL, perhaps I am, but there is nothing worse then listening to some ricer yack at everyone like "he knows his cars" and tell them he has the fastest "production car every made" that can beat everything including "blowing away" a Cobra, Lighting, and any other "POS" Ford I can find to go up against him.

It's one thing to say your "pretty sure" or "think" you could beat something, but a whole different story telling everyone your top speed is 265mph and have over 400hp on a 4-banger from the factory.

I like you am a Ford guy and hate listening to people who love to put down a Ford. Mind you this guy is not talking about blowing away Chevys, Dodges etc, just "POS" Fords since (in his opinion) Ford has no clue on how to build anything with any speed.

In reality I think I spent about a total of 2 hours, including on this thread getting some facts, putting togeather a fact sheet with the numbers for his car, the Cobra, and with the help of these Lighting guys, the numbers for the Lighting. Printed a few of these fact sheets for another guy who then handed them out to some people. Needless to say the poor ol' boy with the Honda S2000 is feeling like an *** and doing some serious back tracking on his numbers including his top speed. Now its 165mph not 265mph, said he miss read the book from the dealer...

Oh, and on that package deal from Harley, I want in on the bidding...

I don't know if the racing you're refering to is straight line or on a road course, but If I ever get the chance, the "f250 towing a trailer" will be towing a trailer with my stock car in it to run some of the road courses in Canada.

When I saw your first post about the new house, I was impressed - it's a beautiful area. I don't mind if you post a few other photos of the area...
