Surely someone has done it.
I plan on doing it, but I doubt I will be the first.

12.79 @108.97 with chip, pro m and et streets in 60 degree air and the only weight reduction was spare and hitch.

On a good air day,i could run 6 12's in a row in my 00,with temps in the 60's and as warm as high 70's with low humidity..
I saw high roller run his first 12 with no pulley or juice at the same track in his 99 with bfg drag radials.

I beleive sixpipes was running 12's before pulleys also as well as a few others.

But i have yet to hear of an 01-02 that ran 12's with no pulley or juice.

Skank Dog my truck went a 1.98 60' 13.44 at 102.7 on a 60 degree day........... It could be done easy

ok ok OKAY it COULD and HAS been done!!

but why wouldja wanna try?? it's sooo tempting to slap an aftermarket pulley on there...squeeze a 100 shot, some bolt ons...and be looking at 11s!

and then when the time comes, built short block, kb, and monster box

I am shooting for 12s with only the chip, and stage 1 weight reduction. So close, yet so far...

What about a set of slicks, drop the spare and hitch if you are serious the front sway bar and add a converter. Also for good measure a filter or airbox mod, and a boost bypass kit. But I have to say the pulley thing is fun .

VINNIE, I think this 40-50 degree temps right now up here can make plenty new high 12 sec L's with just a properly tuned chip and some breathing assistance (catback/filter). from summer to now is like night and day.

He did it 3 months ago when it was hot.
He now has slicks, skinnies and bars and is 12.70s.

I ran a 12.854 in Sept of 1999 at the Texas Truck Shootout with only a SuperChip and Slicks. 1st Gen 2 in the 12's and way before any pulleys or coolers or air intake kits were available. It can be done and Tundra is on the right track Sometimes its not what you add but what you remove that counts.
