How to question guys?

I know this has been adressed before and prob a stupid Question but, I have seen alot of u guys with the completely silver Lightning badges. Well just wanted to know whats the best way of stripping the black paint on the badges and also, whats the best way to get the old badging off? I was thinking maybe fishing wire but not sure.

Any help is appriciated

I believe they take it off with acetone.

You use acetone to remove the black. It's fingernail polish remover. Do a search for acetone. BTW, what color is your L?

fishing wire like a saw is what most of us used.


then use some goo gone to work it off more. its going to take along time and your stock badges will be garbage when your done, so order new ones to do the paint mod then.

if you just want to make them silver just use acetone and be very careful by the paint.

Ok ty for info guys, The color of the truck is Silver so i wanted them to match.Thank's for info about how to get it off RT, really appriciate that

acetone, but no need to remove them, just tape up the paint with heavy paper so none of the acetone reaches the paint surface

LOL guys, But one more question, Did u guys just throw the new nadges in a sick with acetone or did u use a Q tip and do the black part? sry for all questions but not sure how.
