Not to thread hijack...

I am looking for the usable dimensions for the area behind the seats in the L. I unfortunatly do not have my '03 in to size up and am planning on 2 15" subs back there. If someone could grab a tape measure and measure out the width, bottom depth, top depth, height, and cutout area needed for the armrest movement I would be VERY APPRECIATIVE.

The difference is I KNOW I can fit my secret weapons back there. I just need to know how much airspace I am going to have for them so I can start plotting things through bassbox and getting some idea of what my frequency response is going to look like.

I just bought a 10W7 yesterday. I got too used to my 2 10W3s and wanted something more. Cool thing is I can power the W7 with the same amp I was using to power the 2 W3s, the JL 500/1. Now all I have to do is make the box.

BlkBanshee:
I would REALLY appreciate it if you could send me those specs of the box. I am having a hard time desiging the box. The guys I bought the sub from said to use 1" MDF but all I can find around here is 3/4" MDF. What did you use?

Angry

I am sad to say the guy at the shop could not fit the w7 in behind my seat of my lightning. We did think it would at first fit so we drawed up a box with the sub firing down but the problem we seen was in the armrest was in the way . There was no were near enough air space so I went with 2 jl w3`s 10" instead and they hit pretty good . The w7 would have been great but the guy that installed my system said he just could not get the air space we needed . We did come up with a great idea though . For those of you that have 2 bucket seats and a center console mod. done in a lightning just get someone to build you a custom console and there will be way enough air space so thats my next project . ... I will try and post a pic or 2 of my box and some measuresments for the w3`s tomorrow.
