Question for Soap (Joe)?

Hey Joe, you told me to be careful with the mass air flow meter and the sensor when changing out my air filter. Well, I think I may have screwed something up. When I put in the filter kit I started my truck and the check oil light came on and the boost gauge and temp gauge quit working. The truck also feels like it lacks power. Any suggestions? I have tried removing my chip, checking wires, and even did the whole process over again.

Man! What could you have done to create that situation? I'm guessing you didn't get the chip connections clean enough or does it also happen without the chip installed???

Anyway, this will TTT and maybe Joe or someone will help you.

Dan

I have tried it with the chip out and I even tried to put the stock filter back in. The oil light still comes on. I am confused.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I am as confused as you are. I was just offering some advise earlier to not mess up the IAT and MAF........I do not think your symptoms would show if you messed them up.

I don't think so either. I think it is just coincidence that the light came on while installing my filter kit. Maybe one of the accessory pulleys isn't running because my A/C isn't blowing cold air. Is the A/C compressor and oil pump related? I have tried everything. I hate to say this, but it looks like I am going to have to take it to the dealer and have them run a check on the computer.

That sounds like he knocked the wire off the oil pressure switch
