Why have 3 when you can have FOUR

10s that is =)

There are lots of 12s out there that will work with the air space behind the seats. My box is 1.75 per side (thats 3.5 cu ft for those that can ad) and notice i still have room for my amps in the middle. It will require your panels be modified though, or you can simply have them built around the panels, I was lookin to do alot of 'glass on mine soo i wasn't worried about the panels.

Nice PPI Art series amps. Why is it I have never seen anyone with an L try some fiberglass, metal, plexiglass, or abs work with their installs? You guys don't give me much to work with in the creative dept.

Dues

Mine is a temp fix, the box is what will stay but it'll have complete glass sides, top, back, and bottom. Its also probably going to be prepped and painted to match my truck, or black, haven't decided as of yet. if ya want some ideas here is another car i am workin on (main reason mine isn't done)

amp rack is all glass, rear monitor is in glass console, middle monitor is in glass console, rear sub box has real mirror inside. box was painted with 3 stage paint to match the truck. Black side panels around sub box are all glass.

This winter I'm going to add two more of them back there. I think 5 would be real sweet!!! That box was setup for JL W0 when I first built it (.75 per subwoofer) then I put W3's in and then the ID's. Before the 10's I had a 12" JL W6, Memphis 12" DVC, Alpine ZR and finally a 12" rockford fosgate.

I didn't care for the 12s cause they sounded sloppy in my truck but that's my opinion.

The one thing I have always wanted to do though a 8 inch woofer's. I've been looking at some CDT's and if I do them expect to see eight 8" CDT DVC subwoofers in my truck. They only take up .25 cubic feet. I don't know yet so we'll see what happens.

Its too bad that the Image Dynamics ID MAX12 subs are to big for a regular cab truck because they sound awesome!!!!

two 12''s....The box does take up some room, so if you drive with your seat back a ways, it might not work....i have two amps mounted in the center of the box, so theyre a bit harder to see (which is what i wanted)..
sounds nice...although i dont think you kind find a box like this online, i had it custom made...

not a L but same idea...

overkill = yes , super clean sound and nice deep swell when need be. Amp= RF 800a2 Punch (1100 watts benched) 2 12" Eclipse subs (45lb version) The box is actually one sealed box, the amp rack is seperate and has a channel of air behind it that connects the two speaker boxes. Dynamat recomended!

sorry if they are big!

No offense, but you must be vertically challenged to move your seat up that far. How far did you have to move it up?

I was able to squeze an old 10W6 behind the driver seat and still move it back 95% of the way. It doesn't rattle the back glass, but it does a nice job of filling out the bottom end.

no loss...

I did not lose any leg space actually. Im 5'11 @ 180lbs and I sit pretty far back, I can even move it farther if I needed to. The face of the box is slanted so you dont have any problems. The top of my seat touches the back window if that gives you any idea. The speakers dont even touch the back of the seat unless you go back about 3 inches more than I have it. look at this pic , notice the seat guide rails. There really is plenty of room for 12's with out any problem.
