Putting on my S/B throttle body and WOW,when I took off the OEM T/B there was oil everywhere.
I know a lot of guys are putting in filters for this, but how come the breather cap filter does not help more?
Is a little oil normal? Or should it be completely dry.

BTW- I also added a polished billet optima battery holder and a JL box for the shaker hood.

Hey Vinnie, if you are using a breather cap, go to a Sears Hardware and pick up a 7/16" ball bearing for a buck or so. Then pull the rubber elbow off the PCV valve, stuff the ball bearing into the elbow, and put it all back together. That will solve 99% of the oil for practically no money.

Thanks alot.I am using a breather cap and the oil looks like it is coming up through the pcv valve.I had thought of plugging it up but did not think I could.
Thanks again

As far as cleaning....what I do to all my vehicles is take a can of brake cleaner and spray it into the intake and TB (intake boot removed) and maybe use a toothbrush to do a little scrubbing. Don't use the whole can but spray it in there fairly good. Put it back together and start the truck...it will stumble a bit and you may need to give it gas but it does wonders and can even clean up a rough idle. I have never had a problem doing this on my cars and it seems to work.
