O W,

You are obviously the type that needs to be hit by the hammer to know it hurts. Think about it!

Posing? Who cares

It's time to grow up and get over it.

I don't recall

ever saying that it shouldn't be allowed. The last time I looked we were just stating opinions here. Would I go up and ridicule someone's truck if he had them on there? No, but if he asked my opinion I would sure let it be known. Navi Man- we're on the same page here. As I said before I have NO PROBLEM with anyone using Lightning GFX and wheels to improve the looks (and performance) of their truck. There's a couple on this a forum, a blue one especially comes to mind, that are doing this and look damn good. (Can't think of who owns it) As for myself, yep, I think these trucks are pretty special. If I didn't I wouldn't be on here learning all I can about how to get the best performance out of it. We were out driving tonight and my wife said " You know, we have way too much fun in this truck." You just can't put a price tag on that

When you pose, you open up yourself to ridicule when you are found out. That is the price for pretending to be something you're not.

In magical happy land were no one disagrees and everyone is happy happy happy. This board IS for discussing ideas and opinions...even those that [GASP] are different than yours.

If you dislike our opinions so much, why are you guys reading and posting in the Lightning forum? Isn't there a Navigator and regular F-150 section of this board you can hang out in?

Leave us and our closed-minded, negative, poseur bashing opinions to ourselves.

Thank you and good day sire.

It was fun reading this post. IMO, Navi Man you won the debate over Odin's Wrath (poser in drag.)

BTW, I feel so honored to read and post in the Lightning forum.(sarcasm)

(If you flame me, my reponse "refer to my user name.")

Somewhere, a Lightning owner is throwing the nuts to these moronic trolls girlfriends while they are on here bitching about us making fun of posers.

They sure do make a good point though, I am looking around for a Ferrari F355 badge to put on my L if anyone knows where I can find one. I have always wanted to own a Ferrari. I think I'll throw a "SPYDER" badge on there too so people think it's a drop-top.

Let's call a duck a duck...and a poser a poser.

What are you smoking? Telling someone to grow up repeatedly, because you don't have a decent argument, is not debating. It's called stirring the pot. Sort of like what you are trying to do. You each have proved my main point for posting in this thread. There are certain people on this site who spend way too much time looking for excuses to belittle the Lightning community.

Why you would be jealous of us, I don't know. Most of your vehicles are just as nice or even more so. Perhaps we receive too much attention. Or maybe we keep too much to ourselves and give the impression of an exclusive group that you're not welcome to be a part of. Maybe it is something other than jealousy that motivates you. Who cares really? The fact remains that some of you only post in this forum when there is an opportunity to be negative toward the people here who have done absolutely nothing to you and don't deserve it.

Just to be clear, I am not angry with you. I feel sorry for you. It is pitiful that you derive pleasure from this sort of behavior. I have no illusion of making you see the light. People like you can always find an exterior reason for their actions.

Posing has been only a small part of the argument I've been making. Admittedly it's the the weakest part, also. Because nobody really cares about this. It's like the smelly guy in the elevator. Nobody says anything until he gets out. You guys have focused on this because you can't answer the big question. Who made you the L-forum patrol? Who made "you" the Lightning police? And......... Why does it even matter?

O W,

One more time.

My one and only complaint was that making fun of people isn't what this forum was designed for. It has nothing to do with posing. My first reaction came from the post by someone saying that the truck should be keyed. I noticed it has since been deleted. I' have absolutley no problem with Lightning trucks and their owners. I think the trucks are very nice. My original post would have been the same if it were in a Honda S2000 forum. When you have a cool vehicle, you don't need to worry about what others do to theirs. If you don't like what they do to their truck, ignore it.

I think this subject has gone well beyond its purpose and if you actually went back through and re-read my posts', you would maybe see what my point has always been.

PS- PLease don't try and analyze me as to what my purpose is for coming into the Lightning forum. I gave you a very logical explanation and that's all that is necessary. Nobody else seems to have a problem with me being here. Good day and enjoy your truck. Maybe i'll have to go find my original 1968 Mercury Cougar that would give your Lightning a lesson in speed. It was completely stock, with absolutely no mods, but I would put it up against a stock Lightning anyday (it only had 390 hp from a 427 cid motor).

This whole thread is getting rediculous. It's simply a matter of the real thing vs a fake.

Naturally the owners of the real thing are going to get upset. We don't want some regular F-150 that looks like a Lightning getting it's azz handed to it by some 6 banger Camaro and then all of a sudden 6 cylinder Camaros are faster than Lightnings. We don't want a truck that costs thousands less to show up at a car show and get the ooohs and aaahs that WE deserve because we paid full price for the genuine article. We don't want to get asked if our trucks are "real" because the person asking has seen 10 times more fakes.

Fake is fake. If it's fake, then somebody purposely went out of their way to create an imposter. To make something look like something it's not - TO LIE.

And if you are lying, then you are wrong, and you are taking the chance of being exposed, and facing the conciquences of lying. And one of those consiquences is getting crap from the owners of the real thing.

We have every right to give fake Lightning owners crap. If you don't like it, too bad.

And no, I don't suffer from the "green eyed monster". I'm quite content with my vehicles, and I admire those that have nicer stuff than me.
Your first post was fine. This is where you decided to post directly to me. I hadn't made a comment about you before this. I then replied to each following post that was directed toward me.

What does that have to do with anything? Besides, I'm not stock.

O W,

The post about the Cougar was meant as a joke. You need to relax and not take stuff so seriously. No matter what any of us bring, there will always be somebody faster, and it may be the uglies POS you have ever seen.

Let's get back to using this forum for what is was designed for.

Sal- Lighten up. This isn't life or death. There are much more serious issues in life.

OMG, that's a lot of whining.

Next time I go out to the clubs/bars I'll chastise those women with silicon breats. (Ahhh, maybe not. Me like. )

That's right, another persons truck being presented as something it's not. Everyone has a right to do it, but if you are going to lie, then people are going to call your bluff and get pissed.

OMG, that's a lot of whining.
It's not whining, it's the truth. And if you had a Lightning, you'd feel the same way. And if you say that you wouldn't, nobody will believe you.

Well, you just proved my point. You, as the third party person, are drawn to the large breats which are not real. Doesn'y matter to you, because you like the look. But ask a women with natural breasts, and almost everyone will act the way we act towards people faking their trucks.

And that "crap," a bunch of BS. Too funny.
That's not crap, that's the truth. The concept of lying has been around since the beginning of time. If you don't understand it, I can't help you there.

That's just a stupid response.
