IT WORKS! The Clarion sub works in my 01 L
Hows everyone running the constant power? I was told to tap it off from the fuse box or directly from the battery? I thought we could run it fro the radio but the rep said it would cause too much of a drain....Makes sense.... He gave me the color scheme too for wiring if anyone needs it...

I guess if it becomes a problem for you, you could run seperate power and ground wires for the amp. The amp is supposed to be made to require less current than a typical amp. I guess this is why it can use the radio power wires. The inline fuse that comes with the amps wiring harness has a 7.5 amp fuse in it. I don't know what the fuse on the radio is.

They might just be implying that they have not tested it in a 2002 F150. I wouldn't image there would be any difference between the dash of a 2002 regular cab F150 and a 2002 SCrew.
Make sure the color matches. Also, I assume you don't have a center console in your truck that would interfere with the Clarion sub box.

I just called up Crutch and told them its for a 2000. I own a 2002. I know the adapter works for sure now, so its not worth the hassle to argue with those people. Order for a 2000 via phone and you will be ok. Its a good deal and im sure they are nearly out of them. Act fast. Im going to be mounting gauges on top of mine.
gauges on sub...
for those who are thinking about putting gauges on top of the sub, wouldnt the bass be bad for the needles? I mean the accuracy of them. I would think about the fluid filled type if I were to get any...they are supposed to be less susceptable to vibrations. Just my thoughts.....anyone else?

Yes, they admit that the reason for that is Clarion did not test on the 2001+ vehicles, due to them being discontinued. But they will fit because they haven't changed the dash, or wiring setups since then.

Kevin, no, mine isn't scheduled till tomorrow or Friday. Its no biggie to me.
good luck with the Lo-Tek pod, mine fits for shiit. I am just excited about the OBDII-Scan setup for my Palm M125. Gonna be fun to monitor.
13+1 9mm Firestar Plus in the seat is my deterent of choice.

My customer ID on the back of a Crutchfield catalog has the following #
WW287 11308365
My wife said the ww part was different on another catalog I had but the 11308365 was the same.
Hope this helps!

Well when I got home the Fedex man was just pulling up. Got the sub, T harness and a bunch of literature along with it. I tried the "T" harness but it didn`t want to work with the Alpine head unit installed so I assume its due to RCAs running from both pairs to the amp for the speakers. Or the connections on the Alpines adapter to the Ford harness pin out different. Luckily the radio also has sub woofer RCA`s and after a call to the local audio store I was told it was fine to hook it up to that. I`ll just have to figure another way to hook it up later on when I need the RCAs for the sub box under the rear seat. I hope I was told right to use this set of RCAs but all is working well so far. On the plus side this way I can use my headunit to control the sub volume, phase and etc. This little unit works very well for its size and fits right in even with a center console and captains chairs with room to spare.
ema100c,
I think I will try your strap and pull tie method to secure this into the truck. I wasn`t real keen on the method they suggested of cutting the carpet and drilling the floor.
You guys that are waiting will be quite happy with the purchase and especially at that price.

I think I'm gunna get that...any word if that $20 discount works?
Only think I can find is a $20 discount if you order more than $200, free shipping if you use a discover card, or $25 off if you spend $250.
