R/t Vs Lightning
R/t Vs Lightning
my friend has a r/t and he swears that if a souped to the max r/t (that includes s/c) would beat a souped to the max L. i naturally argue that because i have plans to own an L soon. I know a mag ran an article on thi before and i think the r/t won. what do you guys have to sayabout that?
What are the ups and downs of an r/t versus a L.

A souped up Plymouth Voyager would beat a souped up RT and a souped up L.
It all depends on who has the most soup.
You will never achieve "souped to the max", as you put it.

Souped up??
$1000 in mods for an L will always beat $8000 in mods for the R/T and you haven't made it to the track yet.

my friend as an r/t and hes got a few things on it and him and i always race and i always have a few car lengths on him
of course the r/t has more cubic inches but its a 360 ci and only putting out i think 250 horsepower (i dont get that)
but if a decked out r/t raced a decked out L u know who will win
the L of course

pointless arguement...
Both can be very fast depending on how much money you put into them.
The L is faster stock, and the mods to bring it into the high 12's are relatively inexpensive (under 2k). You can bring the RT's into the 12's but it takes a helluva lot more than 2k...
you could also get an RT into the 10's, and a L into the 10's... and a Chevy 454SS into the 10's... it's just a matter of money and mods...

Not so fast- I lost to an R/T once. Oh yeah, but I was driving my wife's V6 Aurora at the time.
