Unhappy

I wish my rear tires would break loose if I just floor it from a complete stop. I can't get them to break at all, and I have 5k miles on it now. If I floor it from a stop, they will chirp and hook up extremely fast. My Lightnings feels much stronger than it was when I first got it............

I guess i'll have to cheat and use the brake to show my friend how fun burnouts really are

OH MY GOD. YOU HAVE A LIGHTNING AND YOU NEVER BREAK 'EM LOOSE? Dude.........I do break-stands in my mom 4.6l Grand Marquis. F-er smokes em good too

Yeah like the above fellas said - if you wanna really smoke em good, hold the brake down hard til about 3000. Then slooooooowly let out on the break until you feel the tires start to move. Then dump the gas and leave the brake where it is. You'll smoke em all day long. Now go have fun

I may be wrong, but that CANT be good - now matter how beefy a transmission that is....... neutral drops with 400hp will eventually shread your tranny I'd think.......

Oh, and that was one BADASS burnout vid. right-click > save target as

Mine will break loose from a dead stop. Just take your right foot and firmly press down

My '02 Lightning lit the tires up when I floored it until the tires and engine broke in (about 2,500 miles). Now I have 4,600 miles on it and I have to rev up the engine a little to break loose. That's a good thing. I'm heading to the dragstrip tomorrow for the first time. I'm hoping I can just floor it and get great traction. I'll let you guys know. My Lightning is still stock. Tomorrow is my benchmark day. They weather is going to be in about 83 degrees tomorrow.

When I first got my truck it was hard for me to smoke the tires. Once I got about 5000 miles, it was like wholly crap.

Give it some time for the engine to break in, and the tires will say uncle.

You wanna know how to do a burnout huh HEHE. Well just hold the brake down while pressing the gas and bring them RPM's up. Then when you see the smoke let the brake go slowly.

Click the pic for a video of one of my burnouts.

Oh yeah that burnout was when all i had was my Airriad and bassani cat back .

I don't really have a problem in that dept.I spin the tires un-intentionally all the time.
With 400+ to the rear wheels it's pretty easy!
If I stand on it from a dead stop on the street it'll smoke 'em all thru 1st,thru the 1-2 shift and into 2nd until it starts to "fishtail" @ about 65 mph!

I have a chip and filter on mine and I can smoke the tires right into second and chirp third. I was wondering if my blower pulley had been changed. I bought it with 1300 miles on the clock.

All I have to do with my stock 2000 is apply pressure with my right foot to the right pedal.

my dads 02 with 3500 miles kinda spins but just a notch, mainly just hooks up well. If the road is soft, it'll chirp 2nd and move a little to the right, awesome feeling, especially when its in front of where all the local kids hang out.
